Pasquale Fameli è Dottore di ricerca in Arti visive performative e mediali presso l’Università di Bologna. Professore a contratto presso il Dipartimento di Beni Culturali e assegnista di ricerca presso il Dipartimento delle Arti dello stesso ateneo svolge le sue ricerche nell’ambito della storia, della teoria e della critica d’arte contemporanea. I suoi interessi vertono attualmente sull’analisi delle poetiche contemporanee nella prospettiva degli studi visuali, sulle pratiche artistiche degli anni Settanta, sulle esperienze verbo-visive del secondo Novecento e sui rapporti tra arte e nuovi media.

Pasquale Fameli holds a PhD in Visual Arts, Media and Performance from the University of Bologna, where he is adjunct professor at the Department of Cultural Heritage and research fellow at the Department of Arts, specialising in the history, theory and criticism of contemporary art. His current research focuses on the analysis of contemporary poetics from a visual studies perspective, the artistic practices of the seventies, word-image phenomena of the late twentieth century and the relationship between art and new media.
