Alessandro Fambrini

Alessandro Fambrini, nato a Seravezza (LU) nel 1960, si è laureato nel 1984 presso l’Università di Pisa, perfezionandosi poi in lingua e letteratura tedesca presso l’Università di Pavia. Dal 1995 al 2015 ha lavorato presso l’Università di Trento. Attualmente insegna Letteratura tedesca presso l’Università di Pisa. Si è occupato di letteratura tedesca dell’Ottocento con saggi e articoli su Tieck, Heine, Hebbel, Stifter, Wagner, Nietzsche, e con le monografie L’età del Realismo (2006) e Nietzsche. La prima ricezione (2014). La sua ricerca si è rivolta anche alla letteratura del Novecento con saggi su Wedekind, Rilke, Thomas Mann, Friedell, Kafka, Mühsam, e con il volume La vita è un ottovolante. Il circo nella letteratura tedesca tra Ottocento e Novecento (1998). Tra le sue ultime pubblicazioni, il volume Guida alla letteratura tedesca. Percorsi e protagonisti 1945-2017 (2018). Contribuisce come critico e come scrittore all’ambito del fantastico e della fantascienza, e sono numerosi i suoi racconti e saggi usciti su varie pubblicazioni del settore. Negli ultimi anni ha scritto un saggio su Philip K. Dick ( Il libro meraviglioso, 2016) e tradotto e curato opere di Kurd Laßwitz, H. H. Ewers e un’edizione italiana della rivista Der Orchideengarten.

 

 

Alessandro Fambrini graduated in 1984 from the University of Pisa, and received his Phd in German literature from the University of Pavia in 1993. He began his academic career at the University of Trento in 1995 where he taught German Literature until 2015. He is currently Full Professor of German literature at the University of Pisa. His research has mainly focused on 19th-century German literature. Within this field he has published articles and book chapters on Tieck, Heine, Hebbel, Stifter, Wagner, Nietzsche, and two monographs – L’età del Realismo (Roma 2006) and Nietzsche. La prima ricezione (Roma 2014). He has also worked on 20th-century literature, publishing essays on Wedekind, Rilke, Thomas Mann, Friedell, Kafka, Mühsam, and the volume La vita è un ottovolante. Il circo nella letteratura tedesca tra Ottocento e Novecento (Udine 1998). Among his latest publications, the volume Guida alla letteratura tedesca. Percorsi e protagonisti 1945-2017 (Bologna 2018). As a critic and author, he regularly contributes in the field of fantasy and science fiction, and his stories and essays have been published widely. In recent years he has written an essay on Philip K. Dick (Il libro meraviglioso, Bologna 2016), translated into Italian works by Kurd Laßwitz, H. H. Ewers, and edited the Italian version of the German magazine Der Orchideengarten.
