Catherine O'Rawe
Catherine O’Rawe è Reader (Professore Associato) presso il dipartimento d’italianistica all’Universita’ di Bristol. Ha pubblicato, tra altre cose, Stars and Masculinities in Contemporary Italian Cinema (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), e, con Jacqueline Reich, Divi: la mascolinita’ nel cinema italiano (Donzelli, 2015).
Her principal research interest lies in Italian cinema. She is the author of Stars and Masculinities in Contemporary Italian Cinema (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), co-author (with Jacqueline Reich) of Divi: la mascolinita' nel cinema italiano (Donzelli, 2015), and of articles and chapters on contemporary and post-war Italian cinema.
She is currently co-investigator on the AHRC-funded research project, “In Search of Italian Cinema Audiences” (http://italiancinemaaudiences.org/ ).Her interest in post-war Italian cinema, and on the cultural and aesthetic exchange between Hollywood and European cinema has also given rise to a successful interdisciplinary and collaborative research project on the transmission of the figure of the femme fatale, which resulted in a co-edited book The Femme Fatale: Images, Histories, Contexts in 2010
