Héliane Ventura

Héliane Ventura è professoressa di Letteratura Contemporanea dei Paesi di Lingua inglese. I suoi ambiti di specializzazione sono il racconto postcoloniale, la riscrittura del canone, la relazione tra immagine e testo, l’emergenza della letteratura transatlantica. Ha contribuito al Cambridge Companion to Alice Munro, e ha al suo attivo monografie su Margaret Atwood e Alice Munro. Ha curato 20 miscellanee e scritto più di 90 articoli pubblicati in sedi internazionali (Canada, Francia, Inghilterra, Italia, Netherlands, Stati Uniti). Queste pubblicazioni vertono in particolar modo sulla narrativa breve di autrici provenienti da Canada, Inghilterra, Nuova Zelanda, Sud Africa, come anche di scrittrici aborigine.  

 

Héliane Ventura is a Professor of Contemporary Literatures in the Anglophone world at the University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès. Her area of specialization is the postcolonial short story with special emphasis on the rewriting of the canon, intermedial relationships and the emergence of transatlantic literatures. She has contributed to the Cambridge Companion to Alice Munro, written monographs on Margaret Atwood and Alice Munro, edited or co-edited close to 20 volumes of essays and written more than 90 articles published in Canada, France, Great Britain, Italy, The Netherlands, The United States, principally on women short story writers from Canada, Britain, New Zealand, South Africa as well as on Aboriginal writers.
