Hervé Joubert-Laurencin, specialista di André Bazin e Pier Paolo Pasolini, è professore di Estetica e Storia del cinema a Parigi X. Ha scritto Pasolini, portrait du poète en cinéaste (Ed. Cahiers du Cinema, 1995) e curato la traduzione francese degli Scritti sul cinema di Pasolini (PU Lione, 1987) e degli Scritti sulla pittura (Carré, 1997). La sua ricerca attuale si concentra sulla teoria e sulla storia della critica cinematografica.

Hervé Joubert-Laurencin is Professor of Aesthetics and History of cinema at Paris X. He has devoted most of his studies on André Bazin and Pier Paolo Pasolini. He published Pasolini, portrait du poète en cinéaste (Ed. Cahiers du Cinema, 1995) and edited the french translation of The Essays on Cinema of Pasolini (PU Lyon, 1987) and The Essays on painting (Carré, 1997). His current research focuses on the theory and history of film criticism.
