Letizia Modena

Letizia Modena (PhD, Johns Hopkins University) è docente di italianistica presso la Vanderbilt University (Stati Uniti). Si interessa di letteratura e cultura italiana contemporanea, in particolare di rappresentazione architettonica, spaziale e urbanistica in narrativa, poesia e cinema, e del rapporto tra luogo e identità. È l’autrice di Italo Calvino’s Architecture of Lightness: the Utopian Imagination in an Age of Urban Crisis (Routledge, 2011, 2014) e numerosi studi sull’intersezione tra l’arte e studi urbanistici.

Letizia Modena (PhD, Johns Hopkins University) is Associate professor of Italian studies at Vanderbilt University (USA). Her main interests are contemporary Italian literature and culture, in particular architectural, spatial and urban representation in fiction, poetry and cinema, and the relationship between place and identity. She is the author of Italo Calvino's Architecture of Lightness: The Utopian Imagination in an Age of Urban Crisis (Routledge, 2011, 2014) and numerous papers on the intersection between art and urban studies.
