Monica Zampetti

Assegnista di ricerca presso la Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, dal 2016 al 2017, nell’ambito del progetto europeo diretto da Lina Bolzoni Looking at Words Through Images, Monica Zampetti si è laureata presso la Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Università di Pisa con una tesi dal titolo Aspetti iconografici e problemi storico-critici degli alfabeti figurati in età moderna. Ha conseguito il Dottorato di ricerca in storia dell’arte presso l’Università di Pisa con una tesi dal titolo ‘Queste sono le delizie delle corti grandi’. Iconografia e letteratura per il Palazzo ducale di Sassuolo. Ha collaborato con il CTL – Centro di Elaborazione Informatica di Testi e Immagini nella Tradizione Letteraria – nel quadro del Progetto di Ricerca PRIN analizzando gli aspetti iconografici e tecnico-stilistici nelle edizioni illustrate dell’Orlando furioso e i loro riflessi nelle arti figurative. I suoi principale interessi di ricerca vertono sull’iconografia cinque-secentesca e le fonti letterarie, sull’illustrazione e le arti grafiche.

 

Research Fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore, from 2016 to 2017, within the ERC Advanced Grant-funded project Looking at Words Through Images. Some Case Studies for a Visual History of Italian Literature (coordinated by Lina Bolzoni). Monica Zampetti graduated at the University of Pisa (Department of Art History) with a thesis entitled «Iconographic and critico-historical aspects of figured alphabets in the Modern Age». She received a PhD in Art History at the University of Pisa with a thesis entitled «“These are the great courts delights”. Iconography and literature for the Ducal Palace in Sassuolo». She collaborated with CTL – Digital Processing Center of Texts and Images in the Literary Tradition – in the framwork of the Research Project PRIN analyzing the iconographic and technico-stylistic aspects in the illustrated editions of Orlando Furioso and their reflections in the visual arts. Her main research interests are XVI and XVII centuries iconography and literary sources, illustration and graphic art.
