Tiphaine Martin

Tiphaine Martin è ricercatrice di Letteratura presso il Laboratoire Babel dell’Università di Toulon, e Dottore di ricerca presso l’Università Denis Diderot – Paris 7. Ha conseguito il suo dottorato su «I diari di viaggio nell’opera autobiografica di Simone de Beauvoir» sotto la direzione di Julia Kristeva e in co-tutela con Eric Levéel, dell’Università di Stellenbosch (Sud Africa). È professoressa di letteratura moderna negli istituiti superiori. Inoltre, è membro del Comitato editoriale della rivista Simone de Beauvoir Studies, membro della giuria del Premio Simone de Beauvoir e volontario presso la Fondazione Simone de Beauvoir.

Le sue ricerche e le sue pubblicazioni, oltre a Simone de Beauvoir, l’autobiografia e il racconto di viaggio, riguardano i gender studies, il periodo tra le due guerre in letteratura e nel cinema, il diciannovesimo secolo in storia e in letteratura, e la storia delle arti

 

Tiphaine Martin is a researcher in Literature at the Laboratoire Babel at the University of Toulon, and PhD at the University Denis Diderot – Paris 7. She has achieved her doctorate on «The travelling diaries in the autobiographical work of Simone de Beauvoir» under the direction of Julia Kristeva and in co-tutelage with Eric Levéel of the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa). She is a professor of modern literature in high schools. She’s also a member of the editorial board of the journal Simone de Beauvoir Studies, member of the jury in the Prize Simone de Beauvoir and volunteer at the Simone de Beauvoir Foundation.

Her research and her publications, further Simone de Beauvoir, the autobiography and the travelling diaries, concern the gender studies, the period between the two wars in cinema and literature, the nineteenth century in history and literature, and the history of the arts.
